Hi Steve, thanks for your reply. I'm sending the '#' as part of a prefix in the phone number i'm calling. It helps to authenticate to the a provider whose platform is not compatible with the asterisk register. Actually "pedantic=no" did the trick. Thanks anyway, Regards, Alan On 01/10/2015

Alan, A little more context would be useful. Where are you putting the '#' and why? ( If all else fails, print it out and mail it to them ;-) ) %23 is the correct encoding for a hash '#' symbol in many SIP contexts, and should be decoded by a properly functioning far-end. Regards, Steve On
