Also, update the asterisk GUI to what I have been working on now.
http://asterisknow.org/install-related to the asteriskNOW branch.
(This latest work includes VOIP Seamless service providers integration, and
also digital card detection and setup)

Otherwise,
The official asterisk GUI will NEVER work in 1.2, since the manager over http
has not been, and never will be in (in the real branch) because 1.2 is no longer
being committed to, and even if it was, its not a bug fix, so it would not

There is an example in the asterisk gui (trunk/1.4/asterisknow) that has
cdr-csv parsing.
You could check that, and even use the javascript to generate reports,
integrate it into a little bit of php
and ezPDF generation and bam, you have some reports.
The cdr viewer in the gui is very useful al
I just use
exten => +12564286115,1,Goto(${EXTEN:1})
exten => 12564286115,1,noop(It worked.)
I believe that should work

The asterisk open source gui uses extensions.conf and users.conf to write files.
It could be made to work with realtime, possibly, if you like the asterisk GUI
as it is now.
Hmm.
Do you guys think it would be worth the time to do so? Or if you think its
possible?

/me goes to work.
There are none that I know of. There are only a couple of IAX(2) hard phones,
and
none of them, that I know of, are manufactured in the US anyways, and have
problems.
(Of course, what is manufactured in the US these days)
That would be a great device, would love to see it
Either way, setting up mysql-ndb is not hard.

I had to do some work on the GUI for bandwidth, which sends
and matches + on every number.
To combat this, I just added one that says
exten => +extensionhere,1,Goto(${EXTEN:1})
exten => extensionhere,1,Noop("sweet.")

the GUI does NOT have meta-data in the sense you think of.
I can seamlessly operate a full PBX through the GUI and add
things myself, it is VERY simple.
The [default] context is global for the other numberplans (trunks/users)
There is no problem with overwriting files if you do it right.

Modify asterisknow.
Or better yet, install asteriskNOW via PXEboot and kickstart, then run
post scripts to make your changes.
Thats what I do anyways, and its super easy and efficient.

One thing I would suggest trying, just from experience, Is the load on the
boxes.
Unless you have REALLY poor latency, calls do not cut out for just 3-4, but
they very well
could if the box load is getting very high.
Keep a look at top (though not reliable) and the call count when the breakup
Do not use the transfer key on the Polycom.
Use /etc/asterisk/features.conf and setup blind and attended transfers for
asterisk.
It just works better in my opinion.
