I have an Asterisk server running REL 4 with two NICs. One NIC has a
192.168.1.x IP address and is connected to a POE switch with Polycom phones
that have 192.168.1.x IP addresses.
The other NIC has a 172.17.x.x IP address connected to a router. The router is
connected to the Internet.

I've looked around and couldn't find much on this, but using two different
TFTP servers (linux / windows), my Cisco 7960s won't load the RINGLIST.DAT
and dialplan.xml files. On both the TFTP servers and the phone, I get TFTP
Timeout Errors.
The SIP configuration files load fine.
Any ideas?
Benko,
You can put multiple files in the MOH directory giving your listener a good
chance of getting a new piece of music each time he is on hold. Asterisk
picks one of your files randomly.

Is your Digium card sharing an IRQ with anything else?
Use the lspci -vb command to show which device is using which IRQ. If,
for example, a network card is using the same one as the Digium card, you
will quite possibly get choppy sound and echo.
You can usually change IRQs in the BIOS se

: Re: [Asterisk-Users] ATA that actually work with T.38
Asterisk must have T38 support in order to recognize the signaling.
No it doesn't at this time.

Is it only the ATA that has to be T.38 compatible or does Asterisk have to
work with T.38 also? Does Asterisk support T.38?

You could always run another T100P into a HylaFAX-run T1 fax modem.
That way you can use your T1 for faxing.
Could you explain a litter further? Thanks.
Well, you can do something like this:
T1 --> TE405P(1) --> Asterisk --> TE405P(2) --> Patton 2977 --> HylaFAX
So you've got a TE405P with 4 port

My problem is that the 23 channels are going into asterisk. It seems that
there is no way to "pick" off a couple of them and use them for faxes.
Basically, I have 23 phone lines and can't use them for faxing.
