The Grandstream certainly has issues, but it seems most of the SIP phones
do. I continue to have excellent results with the Aastra 9133i. The latest
firmware (1.3) supports busy lamps with Asterisk 1.2.x. I think that dollar

Check out the Aastra 9133i. Fantastic phone
for about $179. I have two of them and will be adding more. More
bang for the buck than the Polycoms but slightly less feature set. These
phones are more of an office standard like the Nortel or Avaya
phones.

Try setting the parameter "Live Dialpad" to
"on" to fix this issue. This is option 6 on the physical menu on the
telephone or you can set it through the .cfg file on your TFTP
server.
I'm using the 9133i's without that issue regardless
of the live dialpad setting. I have a combi
ork and fact finding.
I think you have tremendous customer support! It only took a couple of days to track and correct this
issue. I'm extremely pleased with your phones and your
support!

I have experienced the same issue you mention and gotten no reply as to a
way to fix it. I finally implemented "blacklist" into my Asterisk and added
"Anonymous", "anonymous", "unknown", "Unknown", etc., into my blacklist
file. When those come in with an IP address instead of a phone
The Grandstream speakerphone is just about useless
to me. I have a problem with their VOX not working right and if you try to
mute a conference, the phone hangs up in a random period of time. I
contacted their tech support and got this message from them:

My recommendation to you is to get [EMAIL PROTECTED] It sets up the Linux and
most of the Asterisk for you. Up and running in under two hours. I
personally did not want to dig into all the crap in Linux and a lot of the
Asterisk setup, so this was a great option for me. Now I'm expl
around that by chaning slots
or maybe, I don't know if it can do APIC? Or how about disabled the shared
devie like USB?

The cheap ones on EBay won't work with the SC420 server. I have one and

Hello -
I've been using Broadvoice with Asterisk for a
couple of months with no issues. Today, it has stopped registering.
The Sip Debug from CLI is below. It tries to register five times and then
gives up. Any suggestions? As you might suspect, I have not been

I agree with Steve. The ability to have
bridged extensions appear on multiple phones is a vital to many business
users. For Asterisk to seriously take on the Avaya's and Nortels and
Cisco's of the world, this is a feature that needs to be
implemented.
It is apparent that this is not curr
