Dovid,
Please provide a simple network diagram for members of this list. "Q931
cause 44 error" is a layer 3 ISDN error (Requested circuit/channel not
available) most likely mapped backwards from PRI T1 interworking.

Matthew,
I'm not sure what you mean when you say, "[u]nfortunately though, none of
the switch types support this variant of this function." Could you
elaborate please. TIA.

Jon,
Just to be clear - CFU, CFB, CFNR, CD, and ECT (e.g., TBCT, 2BCT...) are all
ISDN PRI Supplementary Services.

Please post the layer 3 trace for this call scenario so that members of this
forum can help you debug your problem.

Matt et al,
Can you still do homebrew PTP T1 in the U.S. this way? I thought this was
nixed by the ILEC/CLECs years ago.

To
and you are USER (CPE). If you set your end of the T1 to
NETWORK mode I'll bet the D/B-channels will come up but **check with your
Telco first**.

How about PCMCIA and 2 T1/E1/J1 interfaces?

The linux drivers for this card support SS7 + Wireshark.

Can you get a layer 3 analyzer trace (e.g., Q.931) and post it here?

Gavin,
Call Endance and ask them about their "Lawful Call Intercept" solution(s)
using their DAG TDM E1 cards on Linux (Endance.com).
Cheers.

DR,
Is the failed call scenario **always** terminating on the same X100M? IME,
it's rarely the Telco line card at fault. :).

Can you put a protocol analyzer on your E1 and send us the layer 3 trace?
