Hi List,
As most know, Chan_Spy and consequently, the MOH
patch that used Chan_Spy disappeared around version 1.0.2 (or so). I know
the native MOH patch works well and doesn't require the mpg123, which as proved
problematic, at least for me. However, I know of no method to "listen in"

I'm having echo too - ISDN-PRI using a Sangoma card to the PSTN. My SIP
outgoing calls have an echo about 80% of the time, but only on a local T1.
It only an echo to the SIP caller; the called party never hears the echo. I
have a second T1-PRI (port 2 of the same card) to a long distance
Hi all,
I'm still fighting echo on a T1-PRI too. I see the suggestion about
enabling MMX in zaptel/zconfig.h but I didn't understand the bit about
reordering the instructions. Can you elaborate?
Thanks,

I recall you said thatI forgot.
When I rebooted, asterisk kept trying to restart. It bombed repeatedly
until I could start the wanpipes and ztcfg, then it stayed up.
I don't recall how to ask wanpipe to start at boot.

Mark,
I've been following this thread with some interest as we're gearing up for
load/failover processing. Can you elaborate on the garp and IP takeover
process, like what software packages do that in Linux or point me to a site
for more info?
Thanks,

Hello, Your on the right track. No translations = no (well, not much) CPU

HI, I'm trying to config a span from port 2 of a

working fine for some time now. No problem with dialplan PSTN calls.

Hi Grady, Thanks for the info.
Actually, I had already found this site. Much of what I'm looking for IS
there, but the City / State data is not "real" in all cases; it's more where the
switch is located. Often this is a real City, but not always.
Thanks for the info.

Let me jump in. Seems that the ChanSpy patch worked just fine in
pre-1.0.x. Provided MOH plus a bunch of there useful stuff. Now it seems
it's gone in 1.0.3 and scant little info on why or when (or if) it will be
back.
Any insight is requested.

Same problem here once (or more). I ended up using TFTP to load a new

found the TFTP IP, set up a tftp server to load a new config at boot. Be
sure your not trying to load too high a version. SIP 7.x WON'T load
HI all - I know, slightly off list, but.. I'm

I have used the 7912 and been pleased. I selected the 7912 over the 7905
because of the 100Mbit Ethernet switch. As I recall the 05 only supports a

No, way different. Much different download process. The 7940 and 7960 are
identical processes. The 7905 and 7912 use a more macro-ish definition (you
get to set bits in a config) that gets loaded to the phone. Check out the
Cisco site for 7905g firmware updates.

I'm provisioning a T1-PRI for a Digium T410P with

others. The switch is a 5ESS, but the "normal" (according to the sales

Hi Dan,
Did you release the source for DIAX? I'm trying to build a drop-on
component for MS .NET (2005) and I've been looking for a good starting
place. I spent some time with IAXClient and a few other from wiki, but most
are Linux specific..then there's X10, but it's commercial.

The problem with the (not-so) Smart Jack is that they fail regularly. I
have had so many problems caused by the Smart Jacks, that I don't use them
anymore - just plug into the can. And, no green Digium light until you load
the software.
