It could potentially be both. I would look at your extensions.conf first
though. What does the extension entry for that context look like.
For instance I have an entry in my extensions.conf for dialing outside

to transcode that call which can take time, especially on slower

I run asterisk on a soekris 4801, it works great. If you needed more

much I like the soekris boxes though...

Take a look at the voicemail.conf.sample that comes with asterisk.
Inside you will see how to change the voicemail email message that is
cerated and add the phone number (and remove the name) for callerid.

A Soekris 4801 can easily support 20 - 25 SIP clients if they are all
running the same codec (I use ulaw), I know of others that have 20+ sip
clients and a t-1 card in the soekris for
I prefer a mail list. I like having my own local archive to search

It works for me. The x100p (Digium 100 buck model) I have is slotted for
3.3v and works fine.
My X100P cards are both clones and they do not work in my Soekris boxes.
I even fiddled with power, pushing the Soekris to the brink and could
not get them to power on with the clones installed. My
I'll give you 2 awesome X100P clones for one genuine Digium x100p 3.3

The 4801 I'm doing is for a demo to hopefully get some funding. I REALLY
need the fxo port. If I gave that up, what would be better? I GOT IT,
*2* fxo ports!!
So, I'll trade you for 2 fxo modules for the tdm400p.
My TDM400 has 4 fxo ports but i need them all :( I'm not running it in a
I've been evaluating the Hitachi WIP-5000 IP Phone for use with

You can always use the local systems aliases file in /etc/aliases
make an entry like this:
voicmail: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]
save the file, then type newaliases as root to generate the new aliases
file.
then in your voicemail=.conf you can have and entry for voicemail (note

Paul,
I saw this problem when my Sipura SPA3000 was not detecting the PSTN
line's the CPC Signal properly. I bumped the min CPC duration setting

never had this problem with X100p hardware.

Hi All,
I have a Soekris 4801 running Asterisk and I tried to add a X100P FXO

boot. I've tried 2 different X100p cards, both of which work in a

I have no experience with the Sipura product. Does it work well with
Asterisk? It looks like it would definately fit my needs. I need one FXO
and one FXS interface and it looks to fit that requirement. This
particular 4801 (I have a few) is currently running debian off of a 512
MB CF card
