The java client you mention states on it's webpage it has to install a local
.dll/.so and that it only works for x86 Windows or Linux.
Does anyone know of one that's completely in Java?

One thing you have to do is take the 9 out of the extension before you send it
on to broadvoice. exten:1 on your dial cmd there.

Hope that helps... I don't imagine that it does any kind of
authentication on calls coming into it but since mines natted behind
two firewalls on a lan with the * machine I've never really checked.

Here's our story. Server in the home country, colo server in the USA. In
between a rather restrictive firewall run by our ISP that I can't do anything about.
Our linux firewall keeps UDP state information for 180 seconds. Unfortunately
the other firewall in the middle seems to be about 30 secon
