Hi,
Having moved from asterisk-1.2.8 to 1.2.14, i've noticed that startup is
much slower. In other words, if I say "asterisk -R" they type "stop now",
it takes on the order of 7 seconds instead of 1 second. The old asterisk
startup printed out something like 650 lines, whereas the new one prints

I don't have this anywhere in the startup script on 2.6.12-1.1372_FC3
and still have only one process in ps:
$ ps aux|grep asterisk
asterisk 4649 0.0 0.2 17744 1080 ?Shttp://lists.digium.c

I always wondered about this and never got a clear answer. On CentOS
4, Fedora 3 and RHES 4 (all 2.6 kernels) it only shows up as one
instance, even with several concurrent calls
