** Want to see who you're talking to? Video telephony is growing.

A couple of developers has formed the Asterisk Video Task Force in order to improve the support for video telephony in Asterisk for the 1.6 release this fall. There is already support for video in the SIP and the IAX2 channel, but we need to add more in order to improve the support, among other things add video to H.323 and look into integration with
3G mobile telephony.

If you have technical knowledge and feel you want to contribute with testing, coding or general advice, please
join the asterisk-video list by sending me an e-mail OFF LIST.

A big thank you to Grandstream and Foniris Telecom that donated SIP video phones for this work.

PS. Yes, the new list is for technical people with knowledge about video telephony. We will not have the bandwidth to answer "how-to" questions from beginners.
