I'm having no luck playing MP3s both through MP3player and Musiconhold.

When playing through MP3player I get

 -- Executing MP3Player("IAX2/192.168.1.40:4569-1", "/var/lib/asterisk/moh-native/test.mp3") in new stack
Dec 21 03:36:48 NOTICE[15621]: chan_iax2.c:3105 iax2_read: I should never be called!
Dec 21 03:36:51 NOTICE[15621]: app_mp3.c:108 timed_read: Poll timed out/errored out with 0

and a ver short burst of sound out of the speaker.

When playing through Musiconhold I get
-- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel 'IAX2/192.168.1.40:4569-2'
-- Stopped music on hold on IAX2/192.168.1.40:4569-2

and no sound.

Note: this is using the default Asterisk 1.2 configuration... no changes.

I'm running on Fedora 4 64-bit smp.

Any help would be appreciated. Could it be an MP3 format problem? An asterisk on my platform probl em?
