Last week, when 1.0.4 was released, I obtained the latest stable version from CVS and applied it.  Today, upon hearing that 1.0.5 was out, I did it again.  When I go to the CLI and do "show version", it shows me the same information it did before the upgrade:   Connected to Asterisk CVS-v1-0
