PRI's are sold with SLA's so get them to diagnose your problems using
their own testing equipment. Ideally this would work, however I
typically have to bring a case of beer to my local telco and find my

You need to call your telco and check your cables. Red alarms are
typically a loss of the physical T-1 layer and are typically a telco or
cable issue.

Asterisk is getting red alarms on my T1, sometimes once or twice a

call in progress is dropped. Please help! What do I need to do?
What can I try? I've googled and searched this list and can't find
anything. Here's an example f

Why not attach /etc/zaptel.conf and /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf?
On my TE405 (PRI, not plain T1), a red alarm detected by software (kernel, zttool, or asterisk), coincides with the red led.
First thing I'd actually check is the wiring: if you jiggle the cable and the led changes, you've got a serio

23 B channels 1-23 and the Delta on 24.
I'm going to beat SBC around the head, I'm becoming convinced they are
to blame. It has taken me a bit to troubleshoot it because I am used to

I'm not sure I follow you. More detail: We only do VOIP in-house. The asterisk
box connects to a T1 provided by SBC by way of a Digium Wildcard TE110P.
Zaptel.conf indicates that the last admin believed the T1 to be configured fo

Today we are getting a lot of this:

Oct 24 17:21:33 WARNING[2828]: Unable to disable echo cancellation on channel 1

There have been several posts regarding red alarms and mysterious
dropped calls. We started having similar problems several days ago,
after the cleaning people had been in the server room. I carefully
examined all the hardware and could find nothing superficially wrong.
However, since physicall

I am having a problem with Red Alarms on X100P cards.
The most frustrating thing is I can not duplicate the alarms, therefore
am not sure how to solve it. I have read after searching posts and the
web that you can try different signaling methods which may help
alleviate the problem.
