Hello ango,
Try asterfax, I use it and it works fine.
If you want to use a regular fax machine you can use an iaxt device to
connect your fax machine to the LAN.

Hello,
probably is a feature what I'm asking for but because of my inexperience to asterisk
this is my question:
I've configured CAPI ISDN to receive calls. When I receive a Fax call, I expected that
asterisk understand it and then launch f (or fax) extension..
Infact, asterisk understand fa

Asterisk doesn't care what audio you pass over those protocols. Your
problems will be due to packetization and transport adding delay to the
audio stream. You a

At this point chan_h323 doesn't deal with T.38. Let me hardcode in the
T.38 capability into the CVS code of chan_h323 and run your test again
to see if it magicly works. I've never worked with T.38 so I have no
idea what needs to happen.
Keep me informed,

How about data/fax handling (and detection)?
I think I remember reading (on this list) that asterisk could handle fax but not
data but don't remember for sure

let's say you have one T1 span confi

the code in dsp.c=>dtmf_detect
is not for those that have never worked with digital signal processing :)

let's say you have one T1 span configured like this
in zapata.conf
context=incoming
group = 1
channel => 1-23
then in extensions.conf
let's say you have one T1 span configured like this
in zapata.conf
context=incoming
group = 1
channel => 1-23
then in extensions.conf
[incoming]
exten => fax,1,Dial,Zap/25 #FXS port that fax is plugged to
exten => _X,1,... (the rest)
when asterisk detects fax tones on incoming call
Is there any way to receive and send faxes using a T100 card? If so how is it done?
