with "unable to register".. Also, even when it was registered, if I
attempted to use their service to dial out, I was getting 2 out of 3 calls
failing with the "service unavailable" messages..

I look on their site, and the only thing is to sign up or sign in. No
other "marketing" material. Rate plans, rates, products, services,
etc. Am I missing something?

can register and receive calls, you have the password you need.
Double check that you use the section name from sip.
