Hi
My pbx has been locking up (can dial extentions or can receive calls)
In the log on the status screen I see this:
Oct 13 13:46:16 pbx auth.info /usr/sbin/sshd[10193]: Invalid user backup
from 206.82.216.131
Oct 13 13:46:16 pbx auth.err /usr/sbin/sshd[10193]: error: Could not get
shadow
Oops that first phrase should say can not dial extension or can not
receive calls.

I know that there are license fees to be paid.
I ask, because there are not so many ISDN BRI cards with
echocancellation which fit into a net5501 case (the Sangoma

I hate replying to my own posts!
Ultra stupid is probably not a strong enough description. If I could be
bothered to look hard enough I would have found that there is indeed
a .img file all ready for me to dd to my shiny new CF card.

Hi
This is a followup to a recent thread on modprobe which did not conclude
in any resolution.
It appears that setting MODOPTS in /mnt/kd/rc.conf are ignored.
I am using the astlinux-0.6.1-via.img.gz image.
I have set the following line in the /mnt/kd/rc.conf to set the opermode
to UK
and to
Mart,
This isn't an area that I've had to use so we may need to adjust it.
Kristian may need to shed a little light on this too.
MODOPTS are supposedly set as follows: (from /etc/rc)
if [ -n $MODOPTS ]; then
for i in $MODOPTS; do
MOD=`echo $i | cut -d: -f1`
OPT=`echo $i |
Seems like /etc/modprobe.conf should be a link to /tmp/etc/modprobe.conf ...

Can someone please pick up commit # 2009 and test it?
Thanks.

I see similar attacks and like the idea of moving ssh to another port. How
would I go about doing that on astlinux? (I'm no network admin expert)
Thanks

Move ssh to a higher port number for starters. That will mitigate some attacks.
