Unless you are going to use the full functionality of ASTLinux one port should suffice. I only use AST for VoIP and out of 3 ports I have only use one.. Though if you need to segregate your phone in different subnets, etc... Having several ports could be handy. Thank You, Fernando Fuentes DIGITAL

Tom, I believe with 2.6 you need to specify the echo canceler used. In the past, if none was specified a default was used. That behavior changed and you must now specify one in the DAHDI system.conf Examples: echocanceller=hwec, (if you have hardware ec) . Other options include mg2, kb1 Ho
