I have tried this and get Database entry does not exist.

/CustomDevstate/79: BUSY

To clarify, it looks like SOME of the commands are case sensitive.
Mainly, the put and del, though show doesn't seem to care:
voip*CLI> database put CustomDevstate 79 test
Updated database successfully
voip*CLI> database show CustomDevState
/CustomDevstate/79: tes

The database entries are case sensitive. According to your output, it's
"CustomDev_*s*_tate", but you said you typed "CustomDev_*S*_tate". Try
with a lowecase s.
