We will be creating a 0.7.7 tag in the near future. Digium is releasing
new versions of Asterisk today (if they haven't already done so) which
contain a few important fixes. (one in particular is forwarding
voicemails which is something that was broke in 1.8.x).

Hi Cleve,
AstLinux 0.7.7 will include support for PPTP VPN, including web interface
configuration.

Cleve,
I'm not promising anything... I have cobbled-up a test where I can connect
via PPTP using iOS (iPad) but the firewall is an issue. I'm not sure how to
handle that at the moment.

Cleve,
Both OpenVPN and IPsec are supported in AstLinux and are both a superior VPN to
PPTP. Granted you have experience with PPTP, I'd give OpenVPN a try, the
learning curve is not too high, and OpenVPN is loaded with features... not to
mention certificate based identities.

Hi,
Is there any chance of supporting PPTP VPN feature on Astlinux, or is there
anybody who could advice on how to install this on Astlinux, I have a script
that I use to install PPTP VPN on my Cent0S based Asterisk installations
which I use.
Regards
Cleve
