No, a reboot is not needed after a Runnix upgrade.
Though, on the development side, we always test new Runnix versions by
rebooting after a Runnix upgrade to look for issues, so if you had an unusual
box you might test one of them while you have console access to it.

Just wondering if it is necessary/preferable to reboot after a Runnix upgrade.
I have lots to do so it would be nice to not have to.
