Hi, Would you be able to boot a FreeBSD live image on that machine and see if FreeBSD has the same issue with wifi?
I've been doing a whole bunch of testing with AR5210/AR5211 hardware recently to ensure I haven't broken anything. If FreeBSD works better then the ath5k guys have a bit more of a chance of figuring out what's going on with this (really) legacy hardware.
