I've started reading this list recently.
There are some people who say AR9280 doesn't work with hostapd or ath9k.
Some said he or she had a good experience with ath9k with AR9280 in master mode.
now I'm confused.
How should I expect AR9280 to work in managed and master mode?

This is a FreeBSD issue, not Linux issue, see: "The problem is RX'ing
