You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

I've been looking for lirc packages in several different places (EPEL,
rpmforge, fedora12/13, etc), but haven't had much luck. The fedora12/13
repos do have packages, but have a lot of other broken dependencies. I
haven't even looked at libminizip yet.

Anyone get RHEL6 packages working?

minizip is part pf RHEL6, lirc libs will soon be there at ATrpms.

Just wondering how far away the lirc libs are as I tried to install VLC today and hit this dependency error.
