This broke for me with the most recent kernel, too. Turns out the mceusb
driver is now in the kernel. To get this to work, I needed to upgrade
from 0.87 to O.9 lirc and remove the lirc-kmdl.

Will there be a kernel module package for lirc in EL6. I'm running
Scientific Linux 6 and it appears to be missing the mceusb module.

Hi,
I've been without the kernel module for lirc for some time now. I'm
running CentOS (RHEL clone) with kernel-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL. Is yum not
picking this up, or is it still in the queue to be upgraded?
