I tried and vdpau did not change for me.
Something is not being initialized, because if I try several
times then suddenly it works (maybe one in five tries).
I have two monitors, and I do not know if this fact has anything to do
with the problem. The 310 series worked much better for me ...

The long lived rev has gone up to 319.23 . Have you tried this version ,
they have a few bug fixes in there . Perhaps hey have fixed divx
decoding issue .

while this may be relevant for the runtime configuration, these bits
and configs are not needed (or even installed) during build time.
The bits that are needed for the build are just the libs, not the
extensions.

I decided to try out the latest Nvidia drivers on my FC5 box and I
installed them and work fine but when I start my machine and the login
screen should appear I only get a white/grey screen. I have to hit
