[AUCTeX] C-c C-f C-d does not work anymore

Since I updated AUCTex a couple of weeks ago, C-c C-f C-d does not work anymore. It is supposed to remove the innermost TextFontCommand at point. Instead, it opens a new window with a list of available TextFontCommand. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong here? Many thanks in advance,
