Emacs would encourage
Org to use some of the AUCTeX framework.
In any case, AUCTeX is nice and actually the reason I started using
Emacs several years ago. I thin it would be a nice improvement.

What is Gnu-R modeS? ESS?
Notice, ESS comes with a wonderful noweb-based solution out of the box.
Maybe something can be hacke

If I had read the fine manual I would have found
reftex-bibliography-commands [User Option]
LaTeX commands which specify the BibTeX databases to use wi
#x27;s native methods. Is there a way (for the end user) to tell
reftex that \addbibresource should be treated as \bibliography? Or can
this be integrated in some future version of auctex/reftex?

considered AUCTeX broken. However, Synctex is not very widely adopted
yet so I think it is great that we can get at least a partial solution
until an official version of some Linux viewer gets synctex-support.
Everybody would be better off with `full' support build
