Ive had similar experiences, but not quite on that level. Though, if I do manipulate the muscles in my mouth and ears, and I focus it enough, I can hear a 16 or so kHz tone.

Yes, please, do stay. The thing about programming is that sometimes ideas take a while to actually appear in a tangible form, and so it can seem like nothing is being done or youre not being listened to. Often times though, its just implymenting an idea.
Re: Talking hygrometers: Do they exist?
Unfortunately, as far as I know, no on both counts. Most hygrometers Ive seen use an analog pressure gauge, with a needle. I wish I could be more helpful on this count, and perhaps someone will correct me.
