Id also recommend 7zip, particularly for the 7z format. Im not sure of the ins and outs of how it works, but by using ultra compression in 7zip could get a folder of mp3s down by about %8 or so, which for mp3s is fairly good. For text, wav, or other file types Ive

Well Scot thats fair enough on cloud storage since its not something I use, (a little pointless with just one pc a laptop and one Iphone, especially since pc itunes is a nightmare!), although that being said if I wanted to with sendspace you get 1.2 tb of space

That depends on what youre trying to compress. If its audio or video, you need to consider re-encoding instead, as good lossless compression is hard for that. I personally like 7-zip, which has all sorts of options you can tweak. If the files arent compressing well
