Ah, I have put Jaws' typing echo on word. But it seems that it's better to put it on character when I'm coding.

I've been using JAWS and have never had a problem with forgetting the caps lock. Unless you disabled it, JAWS speaks at a higher pitch than normal when you type a capitol letter. So you typing feed back should make it obvious that your caps lo

Do not use capslock while writing something like KEY_ESCAPETyping 9 letters with the shift key is not hard at all. Right shift is there for a reason.

Most voices have a higher pitch when caps lock is on. Nvda has the option to play a beep when you are typing in caps, in the voice settings. Pritty sure jaws has something similar as well, would have to search.
