SpaceX's internet constellation's Beta test is underway, and so far the impressions are quite favorable with rates ranging around 120mbps download and 15mbps upload, with 20ms to 40ms latency. Even in poor conditions it can function with 46mbps down, 15mbps up and 41ms latency, not to mention be relatively plug and play with a sleek look. If your pining for better internet in your rural hellscape, the Starlink Beta units cost 499$ up front for the hardware, 99$ a month, and further optimizations are stated to be in the pipeline with more Beta test units rolling out.
