There's always Google Voice and Skype numbers. The thing with those though is that they don't support SMS verification for things. You can still send and receive normal SMS messages though.

Well, I only know that zipgate satelite are trying to add in SMS capability into their virtual phone number, the different protocals make this quite difficult though as it seams, the feature is already in active beta testing.Greetings
