accessible blueray on windows

Hi, So after a large internet outage I'm back.
I was given a few blueray movies for christmas, and I was wondering how to play them.  I have a drive, but vlc doesn't play them by default, and the work around doesn't work for this one, which is the star wars set.  I'm happy to purchaise a player if I have to, but was wondering what you guys use?
One thing I like about vlc is the ability to choose tracks, making navigating special features easy.
