If it was the base model than no, the other one would be allot more powerful actually. Also you likely won't use the touch screen on the surface.If you'd like me to find you another computer that's more powerful for the same price

Also, if you want to have an audible alert when the login screen is coming up there's two things you can do:1. Set whatever screen reader you're using to run at the log on screen. For NVDA this is in the General settings page

if you press controll windows enter you can turn on anrator. your right. they all do.
