I have and like the Nano and Shuffle, but as you noticed, it only really works when youve got iTunes down, which I had no difficulty doing, although perhaps thats because Im on Mac rather than Doze. Not sure how moving to Touch will help you

You would need the songs already in your library. With that done, turn on manual syncing of music from the Summary tab and use copy/paste from your library to the music view in the iPods settings or, more conveniently, choose using checkboxes only

The copy-paste method doesnt seem to work, and the checkbox lists are only for albums, playlists and genres, possibly artists too. Doesnt really matter now anyway, as Im returning this sorry excuse for a media player tomorrow. Lesson learned: iPod

Hi Nin.How do you do the same thing but instead transfer individual songs from an ipod into the iTunes library?

Turning on automatic sync would sunc my entire library, which is not what I want to do. I simply wish to be able to transfer a song or other media file to the ipod at will, without disturbing anything else.
