Re: transfering individual files in iTunes You would need the songs already in your library. With that done, turn on manual syncing of music from the Summary tab and use copy/paste from your library to the music view in the iPods settings or, more conveniently, choose using checkboxes only

Re: transfering individual files in iTunes The copy-paste method doesnt seem to work, and the checkbox lists are only for albums, playlists and genres, possibly artists too. Doesnt really matter now anyway, as Im returning this sorry excuse for a media player tomorrow. Lesson learned: iPod
