-It is very easy to verify bit-perfect output from SB2 either by playing
non-PCM material or by recording with a PC.-

I'm getting 60% signal strength, but am also just about to buy a
repeater. The only time I've had drop out's was when my virus scanner
kicked in to do a full disk scan and a large attachmentcame in an
email.
So maybe just upgrade the PSU.

lee,
ime the sb2 is better suited to use with an external dac than the sb1.
the clock / jitter performance of the 2 is miles ahead of the 1 and
this seems to be a big determining factor. you could try reclocking the
1 but tbh the cost / effort may not be worth it.
so on the whole as someone who's
You swines, I hate you (well except mkozlows). Now I suppose I had

However i'm still reluctant to say this is the culprit on this issue.
From my understanding jitter is a time based issue that occurs

I mean just rlax, sit back and think of it ... really!
Having available a reasonably priced, efficient battery power supply
for the SB2 (and SB, if possible) would have people literally gobbling
them up! A truly wireless Squeezebox!!!

Interesting comments, and link! Unfortunately, I haven't had time for
more listening tests (and having to work this weekend, won't till late
next week). However, I'm hoping somebody else (with more audio and
technical know-how than I), can perform some OBJECTIVE measurements in
the meantime.
