Thanks for the info everyone. Looks like I can be sure that no
resolution is being lost relative to the original when I equalize it.
(My calculator says for a 24 bit signal, I've got 48dB of headroom
before I lose resolution). I agree with quadguy, there is such a
noticable improvement in bass
Hi this is my first thread. I am on the threshhold of upgrading and
would like some of your views on your Squeezbox 2 preferably. What cd
player you have or had before the change over and what difference to
the sound (better or worse) it made.

The additional resolution is just ignored by the DAC - it works like a
16-bit interface.
