I just got DBPowerAmp to downsample to 48kHz. Comments:
- You need to pay for the DBPA that can do this DSP. Dead cheap.
- I decided that getting the downsampling done outside of the SB made
sense - better sound (although not really tested fully), lower
bandwidth usage, usage of SB3 within spec

Does anybody know of a source of 24/96 files for purchase/download? I
had a look at www.highdeftapetransfers.com
but very limited selection there. Wouldn't it be great to be able to
buy and download HD versions online of your favourite music to play via
your SB and a quality DAC? It seems a shame

I use that prog from time to time but can only get 24/48 out of it.
I wonder what I've missed?

The only way I can get 24/96 off a DVD or DVD-A is using any number of
tools to get the raw data stream off. Then use LPCM24 to convert it.
None of the tools seems to put the right header on it if you try to go
direct to PCM wave, but LPCM24 fixes it.
I have DVD Audio Extractor and it will look

Hi am using and SB3 with RAKK DAC MK2 and my 24/96's play perfectly? I
downloaded the 24/96's from highdeftapetransfers.
So I guess it is not the SB that cannot handle the 24/96 but your dac?
The SB3 does not output 24/96 rather it drops every other sample to
Thanks very much for the info - I'll check it out.

I am maybe gonna go for the Inguz when I have time to spare, but, I
wonder if I really need it a the moment.
My appartment is fairly small, and the speakers are situated in a way
that makes my toes bend, its against ecerything I have ever preached !
But thats life for the moment.
I listen in

Anyway, the Inguz can be switched off easily when using headphones ?
Yes - Inguz adds a menu on the SB3 to enable or disable room
correction. You have to restart or change tracks for the change to take
effect.

SB3 (+linear) - Big Ben -
Adamslim,
I find that down-sampling outside of the SB3 definitely sounds better.
On some tracks the difference is not so great, but on other tracks the
difference in the noise floor is significant enough I can hear it
easily from my listening position.
DBpowerAMP has a few bugs which keep it
The Transporter is simply a wonderful digital source. Period.

It seems you discovered the problem.
When I connected one end of a wire to the ground prong on the Nait
power cord and touched the other end to the metal on the digital coax
output the hum disappeared completely.
The issue now is the best permanent solution. Should I connect a wire
