The Cambridge Audio amp seems like a good amplifier. You probably won't get that much more out of a powered speaker's amplifier. You would probably be better off just finding a new speaker pair to go with the existing amp and SB3. -- SuperQ

Lossless vs Lossy for me depends on the type of music I listen to. For anything that uses any sort of instruments, it's lossless only. For music made using computer equipment (e.g. dance) I don't really have a preference but if I had to choose I'd go lossy for the storage space savings. I did
