For hearing new music, I'm addicted to KCRW. Unfortunately they only
have a 128K stream, which, with a good set of headphones (i use
GradoSR125's at work) sounds incredibly inferior to 192 k streams or
higher.
just found this classical station at the aforementioned classical

The proud owner of a new transporter. Plan to connect it via S/PDIF to
an AV processor to use its DACs. Want to know whether I should use the
RCA S/PDIF output (75ohm, capacitor coupled) or the BNC output (75ohm
tranformer coupled).
Not sure why both are provided, or why they differ.

If I understand how bitrate limiting and the file format conversions
work, then ALAC would normally be streamed as Flac when Bitrate
Limiting is set to 'No Limit'. Meaning that LAME isn't used and the
LAME Quality Level has no effect.
I did change the switch
Has anyone tired any of this stuff on a SB power supply-either a stock
modded elpac type? I've been fooling around with it on my dac and its

I have in my custom Super Squeezebox. I have lined the inner panels of
my PS enclosure as well as the Squeezebox and DAC chassis as well. I
also placed a small amount wrapped around the input/output wires and
the digital pulse transformer, in an effort to prevent RFI/EMI energy

Guys,
Thanks for the replies. I have a Krell Showcase processor, driving
Krell Showcase amplifiers into Martin Logan Aeon electrostatics. I have
tried the transporter driving the amps directly (the Krell uses XLR
balanced connections between processor and Amp, so it easy to swap in)
and while it
There is no point in using a 75 Ohm output if either the connectors,
line or termination are not 75 Ohms. If your cable is a 75 Ohm cable
and the connectors on it are 75 Ohm connectors and the amplifier
termination is 75 Ohms then use the BNC output.
There also isn't much to be point in using
