Robin,
I thought fw40 was still unstable, is it safe to go into the water now?
Eric,
fw40, and fw42 are not production grade, i.e. there are known issues
with both versions. However, I've found that both work just fine for me.
Is there anything special to getting this
Currently i have my sb3 connected via rca into my Arcam alpha 7 amp

I also use the Diamonds with a Diamonad 9cc to provide the front

There isn't an obvious answer with your current set of equipment. Some
AV amps have pre-out sockets on them that can be used to feed direct
into you Arcam, but this is not the case with this particular Sony.
You can buy speaker switch boxes, but they usually compromise sound
quality, at least

What you have to do in is to wire the box backwards. In other words,

I have emailed QED direct asking about the product.
Are there any other all-in-one good amps out there under £400.00 ? Must
have hdmi connections.
I know the Arcam DiVA AVR280 is a superb piece of kit. Any other

A decent (16A toggle) break before make dpdt switch on each channel
would work fine if your amps are both solid state (as in this case).
Not suitable for valve amps - they need a load.
You can't harm a normal SS amp by disconnecting the speakers.
Connecting the output of both amps together would
Ooops, iPhone is right, it would be potentially risky to use the QED, as
it is possible to connect together the two amps. I should have read

The other unfortunate thing missing is the fact that the TP can play

Well, I just received my cambridge audio 840c tonight. Using it as a
DAC (as well as a CD player) it just sounds awesome. My wife could
tell the difference 1 floor away.
I was considering the usual suspects; the Benchmark, the PS Audio and
the Lavry. I will admit to not having heard any of
