Where did you purchase the different versions of the two examples you

So far I haven't done any terribly serious listening tests, and my
system has undergone a number of changes over the last month, so I

Oh, and by the way - its a user setting with the same default as the
current production firmware uses - i.e. the sharp filter.
Thanks. Very interesting. I look forward to 7.6 to try it out. Exiting

But don't you use a TacT digital preamp ? it's a filter on the DAC so
it does only affect the analog out ? or are conecting via analog to the

I believe I purchased both from HD Tracks
A Love Surpreme is a very old recording that shouldn´t be able to use

No. I am in fact using The Transporter in a digital loop, so I am using
The Tact as pre-amp and roomcorrection, and then

Inguz made me get back to Squeezebox. I bought a Sonos for the excelent

Now I can hear the
The coax output on all the SB devices is right on the money voltage
wise, no need for any attenuators.
The crystals used in most of the SB devices are pretty cheap crystals
with fairly wide initial tolerances (well within the official S/PDIF
spec though).
SOME DACs have a special narrow band

So what do I spend my money on? How are you guys getting the sound out
