Mr. Soundcheck, I've not tried your mods, but I can see why some of them might make a difference, ie. they are at least plausible. However, there is *no* way that the O/S running on the server, or the type of network cables, or the brand of router have any effect whatsoever on the sound emitted

Different symptom, but when I upgraded my Transporter firmware to fix a problem where the Transporter asked to upgrade firmware everytime I switched between streaming and the local server, the Koln concert files won't play anymore at all. Haven't resolved yet. -- dizzysnakepilot
