Two brands I've used for years without issue: 'Tripp Lite'
(http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/surge-protectors.cfm) and
'Panamax' (http://www.panamax.com/Products/Floor-Models/index.php).
As an extra layer of protection, when possible unplug everything at the
first sign of a storm.
