Yay, got my 2x 5' AES/EBU digital cables the other day. Yup, the AES/EBU's work better than TosLink in the jitter domain... http://archimago.blogspot.ca/2013/03/measurements-transporter-toslink-vs.html Archimago's

Magico is right up there with Focal, Wilson, etc. If I were in the market for speakers, then Magico would be near the top of the list. jh901's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18175 View this

I am happy with my two-way too. 7in woofer like the S1 but a 30in ribbon tweeter. It all depends on how much low it can go and in how big a room. Still, 12.5K is a lot of money. Surely, this is not a value speaker. The Magnepans are high value, for eg. .Too much money/effort spent on the box

The 2 way principle has limitations the displacemt of a 6,5 driver is what it is . You will have a lot of cone movement and therefore intermodulation . And only 2 drivers to share the audio band . It may have some output at 30hz but not at any significant level and certainly not at performance

@Mynb - I figured out the brightness comes when I upsample to 96Khz. At 88Khz, it becomes soft. Leaving it at the actual rate sounds the best (this is what soundchek also asserts, whatever credibility he has in your books). So no more upsampling. I was not very comfortable with the sound of my
