It does not appear to be in the nightlies. I just looked in both 6.2.1
and 6.5b1. Is that change the latest thinking on the volume control
losing bits issue?

This is a very serious issue for some owners that put the Squeezebox in
service as the primary source. Is there a bugzilla for this?

want to make the sale. If it won't do what you need,
oh, you should have bought the 2000. More money.
If you look at other forums where hifi audio is the topic, Squeezebox
is well regarded, while roku is seldom mentioned.

Yes, time and amplitude are missing. Apparently it's taken from the 5
volt line feeding the DAC.
Would probably be difficult or impossible to see any output variance
with a music signal. Since when do audiophiles care about that. ;)

to push performance, and are willing to pay
for it, the PS is a logical starting point, (an audiophool no-brainer).

Wayne of Boulder posted pics of the PS output over on audiocircle. The
pics speak for themselves.

You're more than half way there. Just have EAC run flac instead of
lame.
I used to do EAC/lame for portables. Now EAC/flac for squeezebox2.
So, now if I need mp3 for the portables I use foobar/lame to convert
flac to mp3.
