The only think I can guess at is a fault with the server. But my
connection to this (as a remote volume) on my laptop is fine.

There is virtually no other traffic on the network.
I'm baffled, it's as if something momentarily wants to sleep but then
wakes again . .

Now I have firmware 84 up and running can I control the AK4396 rolloff
filter slope or do I also need to be running SBS 7.6?
If I can, how?
I am a dyed in the wool audiophile so I am curious to hear any
difference.

I have now restarted everything from the Vortexbox and restored the
version 81 firmware.
It seems my only option is to wait for SB 7.6 to be stable and included
in a Vortexbox update?
