When I connect the optical out to the Transporter, which is hooked up to
a DAC via Toslink as well, I get nothing. When I hook the PS3 directly
to the DAC, it works fine. Could this be a copy protection issue?

Transporter is awesome. You probably won't find many (any?) CD players
under 10k that will beat it. I just downloaded a Barb Jungr 24/96
album from Linn (Love Me Tender). The quality is unbelievable although
at $30 for Flac 24/96 albums they are not cheap!

If Apple lossless is chosen for a Mac, should one or more stream formats
