Well I'm not gonna begin to understand this one. Cutting power to the
TP for a day magically caused it to play nice with the M2 - both via AES
and S/PDIF! W

It's set it to AES. I switched it to s/pdif when testing coax - but
still to no avail.

I stumbled across this post in an attempt to troubleshoot the same issue
