Yes, you disable the headphone output by doing the analog mod.

I think that this is somewhat like the hot glue mod some of the SB
modders do.
Do no know if it helps, but it probably will not hurt... and it sure
gives peace in mind. ;-)

We removed the output op amp entirely and removed associated output
caps from this op amp and from the PCM1748.
Could you, please, give an indication of the location of the op-amp and
the caps you removed for improved analog out.
